HeavenRise is a personal daily devotional app. Instead of handing everyone the same daily devotional, it starts by asking what you are carrying right now, then builds your devotional, prayers, and reflections around your answer.

Why we built it

Most of us want a steady time with God, yet most devotionals speak to everyone, so they rarely speak to what’s weighing on you this week. It might be anxiety, grief, loneliness, anger, or a fear you have never said out loud.

I have been reading devotionals for 8 years now, and I felt it was best to build a devotional app wrapped around what we’re going through.

We built HeavenRise to be a quiet, private place to bring those things to Scripture and prayer each day.

What we believe

Scripture comes first. Every verse in HeavenRise comes from a real Bible translation, never from AI. You can read in the Berean Standard Bible (our default), KJV, WEB, NET, or ASV.

Faith should meet you where you are. We ask about your season of life instead of assuming your background, so HeavenRise is for anyone who wants to grow closer to God, whatever tradition you come from.

Honesty over polish.

The questions we ask are direct and gentle. Your answers are for shaping your devotional, and you decide what you share.

Small and steady beats big and rare. A short devotional, a prayer, a line in your journal. We built streaks and gentle reminders to encourage you, never to pressure you.

How we use AI

HeavenRise uses AI to write reflections and to power Ask HeavenRise, the chat where you can talk through a passage or a question. AI does not replace Scripture. It helps you explore it.

AI can make mistakes, so please test what you read against the Bible and talk with your pastor or a trusted friend. HeavenRise is meant to support your walk, not replace your church or your community.

A word of care

If you are facing something serious, such as addiction, abuse, or thoughts of harming yourself, HeavenRise can keep you company in prayer and Scripture, but it is not a substitute for professional help. Please reach out to a doctor, counselor, or local emergency service as well.
